Today is an Election Day, people! If you live in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Rhode Island, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, or Iowa — are all voting today. The presidential primary may be settled, but many Congressional and other important state and local offices will be at stake. The last thing we can afford is to black out voters looking for information on #blackouttuesday — particularly voters of color.⁣

Whether or not you live in the District or these states, it’s a good idea to check to see if you’re registered to vote. Text VOTER to 26797 to register, or check your registration status, with @iamavoter. ⁣

And while you’re at it: did you fill out your Census form yet? The Census is key to ensuring that people of color, in particular, receive the federal dollars and federal representation in accordance with their population. The online deadline has passed, but you can still complete a paper questionnaire. Visit @uscensusbureau and go to their website for more information. ⁣
