During this period of isolation, I’ve been experimenting with making flower essences with plants and flowers I’ve found growing around me for loved ones, to try to heal anxiety, deep-rooted trauma + fear. I am very new to intuitive herbalism but my intention with it feels real and clear. That we need to create collective autonomy, self-defence, resilience and healing to capitalism, state-violence + all forms of oppression. I often feel like conversations around racial justice tend to center solely on action/reaction and not on the deep healing that is also needed for this work, so I would really love to extend this form of care to anyone of Black + Indigenous descent who needs some deep restorative healing right now.
