This song was originally something @bobb_brujo posted on his IG as a pedal demo and when I heard it, I knew I needed to write to it. It was one of the last songs I wrote for the album and the last bit of the story I knew I needed to tell.⁣

For years I allowed other people to construct a narrative for me. I adhered to the persona that was tied to my music because I had absolutely no idea who I was outside of my career and to be honest with you, sometimes I still don’t. It’s hard when you write songs that are so deeply personal, because you share so much of yourself with the world and your story becomes their story and then you risk losing yourself in other people’s perception of your own story. At least that’s what happened with me. ⁣

Always Tomorrow as a whole is really about taking the first step towards reclaiming my own story. It’s about letting go of the things that hold me back from discovering who i really am and was always meant to be. This song is a true proclamation of that. ⁣

I have shared SO much of myself with you guys over the last decade and I wouldn’t do it any other way, because with that experience I have learned a lot about myself and the way in which I often let other people dictate my story. I’m still learning. I didn’t write this album and all of my problems went away. They’re still around, I just learned how to better nurture them. Here’s to all of us that are actively trying to get our voices back 🤝⁣
