In 2020, after Covid canceled all of our Always Tomorrow tours - I realized I was missing something. Myself. I’ve been “Bethany from Best Coast” for 14 years. That will always be me - we can shed parts of ourselves - but they never fully go away. Every part of who we are follows us on every journey we live in this life. But - I realized that I didn’t feel like Bethany anymore. It was difficult to separate who I was from what I do and I decided I needed to do something else. I’ve made a career out of being authentic and honest, but I’ve never been as authentic and honest as I am as just Bethany. This album is the product of putting BETHANY first and allowing myself to evolve. I hope you like it. Very few things in this life are final. Best Coast will never die. There is no drama and there never will be. Bobb and I are family. Forever. For now, Bethany Cosentino is living and breathing and exploring. I hope you’ll join her (me lol).
