Harvey didn’t put up with no bullsh_t..... and he wanted to talk about each scene one by one and especially on the day of us shooting it. The second I would arrive on set I would hear over the walkie talkie “Mr. Keitel would like to see the director In his trailer”. I couldn’t leave his trailer or even think about blocking the scene until he was satisfied with my explanation of why a line was written that way to why his coat is on the coat hanger and not on his back. Regardless, I loved every minute of it. He thought he was busting my balls but I couldn’t wait to walk into Harvey Keitel’s trailer and ask me about his character. I felt like I was in a movie making a movie with Harvey Keitel acting in it! I pinched myself at the end of every day.... it was like 5 years of acting school in 5 months. I only got cursed out by Harvey atleast 10 times especially when Edward Norton tried to steal his lines but the worst was when I asked Harvey to speed up and do his dialogue faster. His excuse was that it was the Actors studio’s fault because he didn’t pause like that before he studied at the Actor’s studio! I think @StanleyKubrick made a mistake when he fired Harvey off of ‘Eyes Wide Shut.’ Kubrick would of loved every second of the challenges Harvey Keitel threw at him on a daily basis and would of learned a little something about the actors studio as well! G-d Bless Harvey Keitel a real Mensch, great father and husband and a brilliant actor who could play any role or any character as long as it’s the lead and has the most lines! My Dream is to one day work with Harvey again... preferably with him as #Superman!! Love u Harvey and Daphna... his better half and a great director in her own right!」5月14日 12時55分
