Here to add a little sparkle to your day – this bustling stellar nursery is located in the picturesque Orion Nebula. Home to a thousand or so young stars, it will be a subject of study for our @NASAWebb Telescope scheduled to launch in 2021. ⁣

A team of Webb scientists will study an inner region of the nebula called the Trapezium Cluster. First, they will survey the distribution of the masses of young objects in this cluster. Next, they will examine the very earliest phases of planet formation around the cluster’s young stars. Finally, the team will study the material many of the young stars are ejecting in jets and outflows. We can’t wait to see what they find! ⁣
