I posted a beautiful nature pic just like this one (thanks @jimmychin), said something general about how we should protect nature, and promoted a town hall that I did that afternoon about environmental issues. I didn’t say anything of substance because the internet is a difficult place to have real conversations about topics that matter. But this weekend I’ve been going down an epically deep rabbit hole researching my carbon footprint. Then I watched the recently-released-on-youtube film Planet of the Humans (which I felt strongly critical of). Then I researched the film more and environmentalism in general for half the day. And finally I decided that I should just unleash a long rant upon the internet. So I’m going to post each day this week about the environment and my general thoughts. This is slightly connected to the fact that I’ve been doing weekly Instagram Lives with various partners of the @honnoldfoundation - it’s been a nice way to have these sorts of conversations with real experts. Tuesdays at 7pm PST - I’m hoping to keep it going into the future (open to topics people want covered). So buckle up, I’ll be stirring the pot all week by sharing all the half baked ideas that I normally avoid posting… Feel free to criticize my ideas, educate me, or share your better ideas.
