It’s the largest displacement of children and families in the nearly 9 year-old conflict, and includes almost 570,000 children. At least two newborns have frozen to death in recent weeks and at least 77 children have been killed in the first month of 2020. 10 Schools last week were brutally attacked. Food is scarce and the people are facing sub-zero temperatures in displacement camps, out in the open or in caves. I think about the lives of the refugees of war on a daily basis- and although I don’t have a magic wand to make it stop, I know I can do my part by donating or sponsoring a child so that the real work on the ground is being done for them.
