Photo by @daisygilardini | Botswana’s Chobe National Park is home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations—about 130,000 individuals. The Chobe River is the best place to find these giant, yet sweet and sensitive, creatures.
During my recent visit to the park, this elephant was particularly interested in our boat. He approached slowly and started investigating us, smelling us with his supersensitive trunk and almost touching my lens. Once he decided my noisy camera was harmless, he quickly got bored and went back to grazing.
