I saw a pack of "scented & moisturised" loo roll. The idea of toilet paper with a better skin-care routine than me was intriguing, so I picked it up.⁣ ⁣ When I got home I pulled off the packaging, took a sniff and goddam- it smelt great. I didn't really get the moisturised element but that didn't matter because my bathroom now smelt like unicorns. Out of curiosity I went online to see if this is a new thing or whether I'm late to the scented loo roll party (which would no doubt be a crap party). Turns out there's a lot of people who are passionate about this stuff. One brand of scented toilet paper on Amazon has 2,639 reviews (to put that in some context the latest iPhone has 289 reviews). Some of those people even took the time to include photos of the toilet paper alongside their reviews (the photos were taken before they used the stuff I hasten to add).⁣ ⁣ At this point I realised I had fallen down a rabbit hole, so I closed the internet tab and carried on with my day.
