What I didn't know is that it's based on a real photograph of politicians Leonid Brezhnev & Erich Honecker locking lips during the 30th anniversary of the German Democratic Republic...apparently it was common for soviets to go for a full on kiss when greeting eachother. ⁣ ⁣ I've had a few people reply to my stories saying they could tell I enjoyed Berlin, and it's true- I really did. It's not a city I can compare to any other because no city has had a history like Berlin's and then managed to flourish into somewhere so embracing & exciting.
