Designer and ED A-Lister @alyssakapitointeriors recently transformed a Manhattan duplex for a young family of six. While Kapito chose a sophisticated mix of neutrals to add warmth and personality to the space, the design also called for incorporating various places for members of the family to sit and read. Kapito's solution? A huge bookcase wall installed on the home’s staircase landing. "The bookcase is crafted out of this beautiful rift-cut oak and created a whole new purpose for what would have been an otherwise overlooked hallway," Kapito says of the design, featuring millwork by @newdaywoodwork.
