It’s not getting better but it’s not getting worse either we will be taking her to an eye doctor next week. She can now eat on her own when we put the food up to her mouth she licks it and now chews on meats when we hold it for her. She had a feeding tube in her nose and then another one through her neck before so she’s come a long way. She can still walk by herself but it’s slow and she sometimes falls backwards but we’re always right by her to catch her and she’s never left unattended. Her sight is still not back but we think she can see us sometimes so hopefully she at least sees shadows. She doesn’t scream anymore or yelp like she used to and she’s a lot more calm. She can hear and is very alert when we call her name she used to not react at all. She seems to sleep during the days and is more up at night. - It will be 1 month tomorrow since this tragic event happened. The doctor says it takes 8 weeks for her skull fracture to heal and can take up to 1 year for the brain to fully heal. So we have a long way to go but we are optimistic that she’ll make as close to a full recovery as possible. - - Thank you to everyone that constantly asks about Flexy, donates for her vet/medical costs and sends prayers and positive vibes her way.
