After two years of braving freezing cold weather and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade outside in the stands, this year I did the family a big favor and said we could watch it on TV at home. They actually cheered. I can’t blame them. Last year, we had to get there two hours before the parade started and let me just say, sitting still in below freezing temperatures with nothing happening can come close to breaking you as a family. This year, there will be no chattering teeth, frostbite or hoarding of hand warmers. Instead, @kalahariresorts sent us hot chocolate, marshmallows, blankets and a little holiday decor to make it festive while we snuggled up to watch the parade in our pajamas. We’ll be looking out for the @KalahariResorts float, which should arrive around 11am with a performance by TLC singing Waterfalls. Remember that song? Kalahari definitely understands the appeal of having fun indoors when the weather is less than ideal.
