On a Nov. 22 spacewalk, @europeanspaceagency astronaut Luca Parmitano caught a ride over to the worksite outside the International Space Station (@国際宇宙ステーション) aboard the station's robotic arm. Known as Canadarm2, the robotic arm was operated from inside the station by astronaut Jessica Meir. At the worksite, Parmitano and fellow spacewalker Andrew Morgan (@AstroDrewMorgan) performed repairs on the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer instrument, a cosmic particle detector. Repairs continue in the next spacewalk on Monday, Dec. 2.
