Started to relearn this gem of a concerto - Bruch really knew how to draw a tear to the eye, and my task as a musician is to live up to that. This is probably one of my favorite slow movements out there (I say that quite often but hey - I really mean it!) 😄

Although in this take, I was focusing on getting the emotion across, I feel the need to address some critical points that I have paid less attention to whilst playing it. My shift stability on the lower strings can be improved upon (quick fix for that is to "lead the shift with the left elbow" - rather than the fingers trying to hit the top note, which is always a bit of a hit or miss). Another thing I have to rethink over is that the triplet groupings towards the end of this passage all sound the same - making it boring for the listener. Varying my portato and "swing" would be starting points to improve upon my creative interpretation 😊
Also, I know that I can do this trill better, I just need to be more patient and care more for it haha 😀————————————————————————
All in all, I feel like this second movement is often underestimated. Which slow movement do you love?
