It results in a particular challenge, because if I play it the way I am used to, I wouldn't become better - so the task for me is to push myself further to have an "updated", better version, and disregard my pull to going back to my habits. I am now trying to have more flow to this piece, because although widely popular amongst violinists to do lots of tempo changes, Saint-Saëns himself didn't compose that. It kind of startles me to change that habit because I used slowing down as a method to unfold emotion, and now have to get used to my "new way". ———————————————————————— What are you guys working on these days? 💫」9月23日 3時08分
