I can honestly say it’s a humbling journey I will be proud to have gone through even after I deliver. I used to have a preconceived notion of what it was to be pregnant. Society told me that pregnancy can ruin your body, your confidence, your fitness, & your sexiness. Society told me that only being super fit was the ideal body. I didn’t necessarily believe all of these things but I did feel overwhelmed with how I would feel & experience my pregnancy. I expected to be bombarded with body shaming for wearing bikini while pregnant. I expected to be made fun of if I tried to show a sexy side of pregnancy. I expected to lose my beauty and sexiness altogether. I DID NOT EXPECT to be so overwhelmed with gratitude that I could create life, love & a daughter. I didn’t expect to appreciate EVERY MOTHER EVER who has gone through this process 1, 2, or 10 times or more. At first I didn’t know whether or not I should allow myself to feel okay with gaining weight, not looking as fit I had hoped for, or as ideal of a fit pregnant bod as I had seen some others on social media have. I didn’t know if it was normal or okay to have a bit of body dysmorphia as the weight gain came on rapidly & I lost what I guess I had decided was my identity: a fit body, tiny waist & a desired physique. I DID NOT EXPECT that men & women everywhere actually really love & appreciate the beauty a woman’s body gives off during the process of creating life even when she is gaining weight, curves and changes. I’m so thankful for all the support & kind messages from you all reminding me everyday that pregnancy is beautiful & women who are pregnant radiate beauty, life & love & it should be celebrated, not shamed. I’m sure everyone has their ideals of what is acceptable so pardon me while I am trying to breaking society’s boundaries because I do believe pregnant women should be celebrated as sexy, strong, beautiful and amazing as we grow these tiny miracles we all started as. #pregnant #fitpregnancyjourney」10月4日 4時52分
