Lilies, spaciously swaying in the water like illuminated jelly fish. I came across this small pond while scouting for a shipwreck I was tipped off about on Lake Huron. The water levels and high winds on the lake were making the photo I had originally wanted to shoot impossible, but this was a great, accidental plan B! It’s tricky working in ponds like this, you have to move slow as to not stir up sediment which creates a lot of back scatter. It mildly worked in my favor here however giving an interesting atmosphere from my flashes. The pond was full of tannins which created a mild reddish mood underwater, contrasting from what things looked like on the surface. Swipe to see what the pond looked like from above.
