@betsybrandt's early interest in acting came during an emotional viewing of a made-for-TV movie.⠀
⠀
The film, about a group of children abandoned by their parents, struck a chord with the then-8-year-old, who watched it with her aunt and broke down when the kids in the movie started sobbing.⠀
⠀
"[My aunt] said, 'You go ahead and cry along with them. There's no shame in feelings you want to express," said Brandt, 46, who starred in AMC's @breakingbad and is currently in the new @suits_usa spinoff "Pearson."⠀
⠀
But it wasn't until her junior year of high school, when she took a class trip to see Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night," that everything crystallized.⠀
⠀
"I began to look at people differently and enjoyed understanding people who weren't like me," she said, "which is a big part of acting."⠀
