What helps bring you back to the present?
I like - inhale for 6 counts, (hold for 2) exhalation for 8, (hold for 2). Cycled for 2 minutes. Short & sweet.
The longer out breath sends a signal from the brain to the body & nervous system that it’s safe to relax.
Anyone got any favourites for shifting from sympathetic to parasympathetic brain state? Saltwater bath / walk in nature are always effective too.
