When the Indian government shut down Kashmir’s internet and phone services earlier this month, it brought the region to a halt. Everyday transactions, family communications, online entertainment and the flow of money and information have been paralyzed — and shopkeepers say that vital supplies like insulin and baby food, usually ordered online, are running out. India announced on Friday that restrictions would be eased over the next few days, with schools and government offices to reopen on Monday and phone service to be gradually restored. The blackout has been part of India’s decision earlier this month to wipe out the autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir, an area home to 12.5 million people that is claimed by both India and Pakistan and has long been a source of tension. India’s Hindu nationalists have long wanted to curtail the special freedoms that the predominantly Muslim territory has enjoyed. But many were still stunned by this month’s move, seeing it as an attempt by Narendra Modi, India’s forceful prime minister, to consolidate power. This is a developing story. @furkanlatifkhan wow great man! *Without any masscare* they fled ....then I think u shuld study thoroughly the history of ethnic cleansing of kashmiri pandits brother, and secondly I hope u are aware of many terrorist attacks to yatris and previous years one also, abrogation of article 370 could have worsen the situations that's why there flee was important and govt. Took the whole sole responsibility for their flee for ur information. And lastly I wanna say u brother we never accuse any of our muslim brother, sister and friends, I never quoted that ethnic cleansing of pandits were due to Muslims ...it was due to terrorists .There's a difference 😉

"The fascist, Hindu Supremacist Modi Govt should know that while armies, militants and terrorists can be defeated by superior forces;history tells us that when a nation unites in a freedom struggle and does not fear death, no force can stop it from achieving its goal.
That is why the Hindutva exclusivist creed of the modi-led Govt with its fascist tactics in IOK will fail miserably in its attempt to smother the Kashmiri liberation struggle."

@al3_0001 you are wrong jk is very underdeveloped actually especially Kashmir the only little wealth they get is because for even tho jk has only 1% of population of India but still get 10% of funding from the central government so it's like they are not making any money they are just taking it from tax payers from the rest of India. And yes you mean OUR KASHMIR AS IN the Kashmir which belongs to Hindus and the country of India

@dowdpride So its better to sit and cry rather than demand more rights via civil participation? when 80%+ Kashmiris come out and vote peoppe will listen. But this has to be within a Indian constitution as kashmir is part of the Union. Im not making an argument. Just pointing out the logical choice thats non-voilent and will result in greatest positive effects for all people in Kashmir/Indian region.

Is one of the only and best benevolent govt. (Even I don't agree with most of the things bjp does but abrogation of article 370 was a must)...Jai hind🇮🇳
