Well, I stand corrected. You were definitely willing to engage. I am thankful for the respectful, thoughtful responses. Even the heated ones.
I think most of us are scared and sad. We are humans, and we react differently to tragedy and division.
My suggestion to those of you, like me, are interested in working towards the change that you want to see: Keep using your voices, your platforms, your feet on the pavement. @everytown and @momsdemand have local chapters and they will direct you towards ways to get involved. I will continue to post here and in my stories.
My love to every single one of you.

@johnstonv I don’t think you know what projecting is- I don’t think death is funny, which is what would be true if I was projecting. Again, you said one word: “laughable.” If you don’t want to be misunderstood, try more words. “Laughable” is an indication of humor. As I said, people who support Trump and the GOP cannot be reasoned with. That’s an accurate statement, not my opinion, as shown by their actions. Voting Dem is how you replace the GOP. That’s not opinion. That’s fact. (The alternative is voting GOP, correct?) The Dems have brought forth multiple gun control bills that have been put down by the GOP. That’s not my opinion. That’s fact. If they are in control of the House and Senate, those bills will get passed (as it has in the House when the Dems took control). I deal on facts, not high and lofty ideals of a future where the government is not run by parties, which is not going to happen in a Democratic Republic. And again, as stated, the GOP makes this partisan, not me as an individual. I’m not personally part of the partisanship problem over gun control- the GOP is by making a stance that they will not vote for any gun control bills.

Thank you for taking the risk in speaking out. I know it’s scary going into large crowds these days. My daughter was standing almost exactly between the two bombs that went off at the Boston Marathon a few years ago. She called us in terror and then the phone went dead so it was awful. She did get through again from her dorm. First responders were incredible. We had planned to go to dinner that Thursday night. We had to choose the other side of Boston due to FBI investigations but we still went. Did not want her to live in fear since she went to college in Boston. So difficult but necessary to get out. And then the next day they shut down the whole city to find the perpetrators. She now travels the world for her job. I am so happy for her. Thankfully for me, she allows me to follow her on Find Friends!!! ❤️ it is hard but try to keep getting out without fear... keep doing what you do and being you!

@equestrianesse your entire perception is off kilter. What you say and how demeaning you are is very rude. Just because you don’t actually use the word liar, saying anyone who supports the GOP deals in their own facts, means they lie. Not once have you said we need to work together except to say to get the GOP out of office. That is working toward your personal goal. I cannot imagine hating a group of people based on their political affiliation. It reminds me of all the news articles that have linked Trumps 1 flight on Epstein’s plane to a deep personal friendship but say Clinton’s 27 flights with Epstein on board and children is not of any consequence. Again, I’m going with the people that are going to make changes not partisanship.

@equestrianesse your opinion is laughable because of the blame being placed on Republicans. The solution is to vote dem in your opinion. Neither has accomplished anything. It needs to be non partisan. And for you to say I think death is funny is reaching. You are projecting. Making it partisan and keeping the division wide. Makes you part of the problem. I don’t want anything from you. It would be wonderful if you could take the parties out of it and fight for a future where a left wing nut doesn’t kill his own sister and several other people for his alleged propensity for ANTIFA and the violence they believe is warranted because they don’t like what others stand for. Stopping the hate can start with you

I've been following you since I was an au pair in America back in 2013. I learned to love this beautiful country but I always was a little irritated at how different things really were compared to my homecountry or Europe in general (growing up with american movies, food, music ect. I thought things couldn't be so apart from how I lived) Even driving by a gun shop felt so wrong and unsafe and hearing about the mass shootings over and over again breaks my heart. I really really hope something will change and people will finally understand that the united states needs strikter gun laws. Guns won't give you safety. Guns kill. Never stop speaking the truth! Many greetings from germany 💕

@zeroanduno2019 did y’all do the same for the numerous shootings which occurred during the last presidency? What about the plane that killed more than 3,000 people on 9/11 when hijacked by an America hating person just wanting to kill as many people as possible or the evil man who killed those people with a pressure cooker bomb while they were out participating in a marathon? Guns don’t kill people, evil people kill people. This is no more Trumps fault than it was Obama’s fault or any democratic or republicans fault. Criminals and those who hate don’t purchase their guns from stores or go through background checks, they steal them or buy them off the streets.
