Photo by @Gerd Ludwig | Vines encroach a farmhouse in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Nature is reclaiming the land evacuated by most after the world’s largest nuclear disaster to date. Tourism within the Zone (legalized in 2011) has increased by 40 percent since the HBO miniseries, “Chernobyl.” On August 6 at 6pm, an exhibit of my Chernobyl images will open at the ROSPHOTO state photo museum in Saint Petersburg, with NatGeo Russia as a media partner. The exhibit will feature over 100 of my photographs chronicling the aftermath of the accident. #Chernobyl #ExclusionZone #nuclear #Ukraine
