A Mongolian boy and his lamb: Three-year-old Adiya spends much of his time with sheep, horse and dogs as his companions, as his nomad family lives far from the nearest neighbor. You might be thinking that Adiya looks like a little girl with his pigtails, but in the Mongolian tradition, he won’t receive his first hair cut for a few more years. The Mongolian haircutting ceremony happens between the ages of 2-6, and symbolizes the end of "babyhood" and the transition to "childhood.” #innermongolia #mongolian #lamb
