Like all of the “locals” I get a bit arrogant about being a local during the heavy tourist season when total strangers act like they own the place wear black clothing on black bikes at night texting and somehow are never on the bike path and in general on vacation from any sense of physics reality while driving here...yet it’s a good family crowd hang ...don’t come here for spring break it’s boring ..i have my summer morning coffee feet in the water at sunrise ..yea shooting too and I loved meeting these warm folks from Oklahoma a couple of sunrises back who were helping Dakota get his toes in the sea for the first time. Noble. What friends and family do. I don’t know any more about this family. I left them to their moment. Of course my Oklahoma friends and all out of towners are welcomed OBX. I’m the one usually from out of town. So i get it. If we meet I promise I won’t play the “I’m local” card. 🎈🙏🏻#nagshead #obx

yokibean11 Loved the honesty 😂 I’ve lived in many tourist holes in my life and altho I have never felt a sense of entitlement for the town or city... I do love meeting down to earth, genuine in nature - people. People who have the time to talk than shop. Now I live in a gorgeous City I have wished to see for 4 yrs but because of health reasons lack the energy. Yet I crave to know it and it’s locals, lol...I mean the ones who will without local pride would be happy to switch off their French to speak a little English... just for a little chat ☺️

rebecca2189 I hadn't been able to access a paddle in the sea for around five years after becoming poorly and to infirm to walk on dry sandy beaches. We found a beach in wales that we could drive all the way on to to sea and I had my first paddle in years too it was emotive. The things we take for granted are so special. ❤️
