With over 100 inches of annual precipitation, moss grows on just about anything. All that precipitation works it's way downriver and eventually flows over Snoqualmie Falls, a 268 foot waterfall near the town of Snoqualmie, about 25 miles east of Seattle. That's a "normal" and common natural vegetation forest in the Azores. It can happen, also, in production forest in here.
