Your mum starts cutting your hair by making you sit in between her thighs, then you move to the barbers with the Manual clippers before graduating to the electric clippers.

i_are_yummy Mom never cut my hair or made me sit in between her thighs, i always barb my hair for #30 then it rose to #40 and later #50 max!. This was way back in Jos. I remember one time i went to barb for #30 and mom gave me and my elder brother #50 for the two of us ??? we dare not barb style otherwise we will re-barb and my mom will not add a cent to the #50 paid initially. Our hair style was "Punk" no design, no parting, no nothing!. All the hair has to go ? Gradually we advanced to electric clippers but one paramount hair style, "Punk"! Fear of mom was beginning of wisdom. She would threaten to take us to those aboki that use knife to erase people's brain and destiny ?? i dare not leave that Punk tradition but today, we are going lowcut as per "Boys to men" ?????

suashea My mom was my first barber, she runs soap and water on my head then shaved it with blade and then rub ori (sheabutter). I was the only girl in my primary school with a completely shaved hair and all my teachers called my Jordan, I became a star in school till I got into secondary school and my school mates began to stone my shining head.

rue.rue.m I put my 16 month old in the bath tub ? and ensure there is enough bubbles and toys to distract him. I then make his hair which is a bit curly wet and get the scissors ✂️ and start snipping. The “mama” haircut takes two days to be perfect lol ? I don’t think he would sit in a barbers chair so for now, “Mama knows best” ?

chatwitjo Growing up my barbing story no too sweet, barbers be turning my head like they're changing gear for trailer. Only as i got older did it get better as i could say what i wanted. As the hair don kuku chop enter inside na me dey cut am by myself most of the time

nathy_lev In between my Dad's legs with scissors. Very neat lowcut with no scissors signature on the head. Carving done with BIC shaving stick. Hit the barbers first time during secondary school.?
