You can definitely get all the iron needed for optimum health from a plant based diet, however just because you can doesn't mean everyone is always able, from busy lifestyles to biology getting in the way. I’ve gone mostly refined sugar free for a few years now but the war on which replacement is best is so confusing! (Maple syrup, honey, rice malt syrup, agave syrup, medjool dates, coconut sugar, rapadura sugar etc.. ??‍♀️)
