This week in 1988, Brian released his first solo album, Brian Wilson. Rolling Stone called the album "a stunning reminder of what pop's been missing all these years. It is also the best Beach Boys long player since 1970's Sunflower, although Wilson is the only Beach Boy on it." The album contained a number of standout tracks, including Brian's signature song, "Love & Mercy." What's your favorite?

arcfontis I was at Tower Records the day this album was released. Someone near me saw me walk directly to the new release section and grab a LP then head to the check out line. They asked me if I' heard it yet, I replied "I don't have to hear it first, it's Brian Wilson... enough said!!

mmemoira Brian Wilson is the Beach Boys - no Brian, no Beach Boys. Brian would have had a career in music without the others. Would the others have had a career in music without Brian?

rscottboe I love every song, they blend into each other beautifully it's almost as though you are listening to one long song. I consider it a perfect album.
