This week in 1970, Brian’s “This Whole World” was released as a single from the Beach Boys’ Sunflower album. Recorded at Brian’s home studio, with a stunning lead vocal from Carl, Brian said “The melody and chord pattern rambles but it comes back to where it started. That song came from deep down in me, from the feeling I had that the whole world should be about love.” #1970
