Hello my husband and I are going on our honeymoon this Wednesday and flying Hawaiian Airlines from NRT-HNL and returning on HNL-ICN - having worked for an award winning airline I was so excited at the prospect to fly with Hawaiian Airlines and especially for our honeymoon where we have decided to splash out and fly in Business Class. As I am vegetarian I attempted to find where I could select a Vegetarian meal but to no avail. We called the customer service number and spoke with someone who said that Vegetarian meals were not available on our flights due to ‘restrictions’, what restrictions? He could not answer - he then went on to say that Vegetarian meals were available in Coach class but not Business Class! He could not explain the very ridiculous and discriminative reason for this. It should not be the solution since we are paying ALOT of money for these flights but we suggested that they bring a Vegetarian meal from Coach class to Business class and he said that this was not possible! He then went on to explain that I should ‘feel free’ to purchase my own food and bring onboard to consume! After all the money we are spending and on such a long flight! (10 hours) Why should I have to eat some cheap airport food whilst my fellow travelers are enjoying a 5 Star gourmet experience?! My husband insisted to speak to a manager and we were told that they would return our call but they never did. This is very poor customer service. To say we are appalled is an understatement!
We were so looking forward to our honeymoon and starting it on a positive note but it has been soured before it’s even started.
I demand an explanation!

@hawaiianairlines wish the gate attendants were as nice as the flight attendants. Upon having to check my son’s HIC bodyboard on our recent trip to Maui, which we’ve never had to check in on ANY flight, it now has punctures and a crease in it. We wrote cust service but only received a written apology, no care. Very disappointing - seems like the kokua is going a little too corporate at the gates. ? @hotmessnae @charles.harkins

I agree that your flight attendants are top notch and some of them are from Aloha Airlines. unfortunately, your employees needed to go on strike because your corporate bottom line is for the shareholders. Furthermore, you are ripping-off the local people in Hawaii! You should’ve lowered your airfares while being a monopoly. You shame yourself for corporate greed! I hope Southwest airlines makes you humble!

Hawaiian isnt how it was before theres no aloha spirit, there are some that is the most friendliest and there is some that shouldnt be working if they hate there job. I always fly on hawaiian from vegas to go back home and one time i went with my babies and 1 flight attendant wouldnt even help me to put my bag up she said it wasnt part of her job. And another flight attendant came over and helped me.

808 born and raised and long time Hawaiian air customer but after @hawaiianairlines recent price gouging jacking up inter island flights to Hawaiʻi island to over $500, I will do everything I can to avoid using Hawaiian air. How can you claim to spread the aloha spirit when you do things like this? I’d love to hear your reasoning/explanation. Shame on you!
