Photo by @クリス・バーカード | We came to Mallorca for the seaside climbs and could have stayed for years exploring new ones each day. The island’s perimeter is almost entirely made up of limestone cliffs like these and is always paired with this bright blue water. Our primary mode of transportation was sailboat, as pictured. The climbs were often done without rope, a style of climbing called "deep water soloing." In this style, the water below acts as your safety device in the case of a fall. But, even if you complete your climb successfully, you still have to make it back to the boat. If you look closely, you can see this diver is still wearing his climbing shoes as he plunges into the ocean to swim back to the home base. Not a bad commute.
