We are pleased to offer one scholarship opportunity for our three-week intensive documentary photography summer course with @lccshortcourses to an emerging London photographer.

Taking place in London from August 1 to 21, the intensive course will equip students with the historical and contextual framework required for critical thinking around documentary photography, and offers technical guidance and tutorial support. Focusing on how to develop a personal project and an authentic voice, you will explore and define your individual approach to documentary photography and consider all elements of successful project development: from research, to access and shooting, to the editing and creation of a zine and public projection.

Thanks to @fujifilmx_uk, we can also provide the successful applicant with a camera for the duration of the course.

Since this particular scholarship was designed in partnership with a London university, the aim is to help support photographers local to the university. However, we do aim to offer a range of other opportunities to photographers in other areas, and globally, where possible. Thank you.

the_northern_lights_gallery “London photographer”. I not sure what is meant by this but one assumes that you have to have / be resident at a London postcode otherwise you are not eligible for this award?

wiharrison What we called ‘jogging on’. Could only be combated by declaring ‘no jogging on’ just before you swung.

touchofdepth I dont know if I agree with this idea that an artistic eye can be taught/learned
