In 1949, @philippe_halsman_official was commissioned by LIFE Magazine to capture on camera what goes on “inside a poet’s mind” for a three-page photo essay coinciding with the US release of Cocteau’s film, L’Aigle à Deux Têtes (The Eagle With Two Heads).
