A late evening, as it was a few months ago in Bodh Gaya, India. So many in prayer and meditation. Here in this spot where now a temple rises to the sky, is the place where Buddha is said to have obtained enlightenment, under a Bodhi tree. From antiquity till now, this is a place of deepest reverence. I’ve yet to find a temple so peaceful. Especially at night.

prernapriz Feel so lucky to have actually visited this place and collected a stray leaf that flew down and landed on my feet from the MahaBodhi Tree. I was told later that people wait for days and weeks to pick the naturally falling leaves and seeds as one isn't allowed to pluck them off. I don't know how to explain it, since I'm not very religious but I felt all at once emotional at that moment and I don't know why my eyes were wet. I've never experienced something like that in my life and to think that I merely sat there for five minutes while the lady beside me tolde she'd been visiting for a week daily on hopes finding a stray fallen seed.

asharma7979 @johnstanmeyer Your photographs inspire me to write magical stories. For instance this photo of temple, so peaceful. I can see myself writing about an individual who comes to this temple everyday for meditation and peace. It almost take him or her away to a land that he or she was suppose to be all along and finally found the peace within himself/herself which he searched for everywhere. ❤️?❤️ Thank you for sharing your vision and capturing beautiful moments.

Interested to know which is the best place you visited and felt like you never seen like this before or ever after.. that captured in your mind. Or like a moment you experienced during your travelling. I understand that even simple events you show them as an emotion with narration. Just curious to know thats all. shekharsidhaye John, this place is a magic. It makes you feel completely calm from inside. The temple actually is very simple and has not major decorative elements, yet it looks absolutely fabulous at dusk and all the times. Good you visited this holy place.
