This is not a fancy exercise but read below on it’s relevance. .
After you turn 30, you start to slowly lose fast twitch muscle fibers that make you lean, defined and athletic!😱

These are also the muscle fibers that help us react quickly when falling..at any age, and can help us prevent injuries too with our cat like reflexes.🥴

As we get older it only happens faster..BUT there are ways we can train to fight back!

There are many ways to hit fast twitch muscles- plyometrics, heavy lifting, power lifting, eccentric training, sprints..but today we have something simple that most of us can do right at home...

Depth Jumps - as shown here are a simple thing you can do at home or throw into a workout sesh.

✅STEP off box, bench, whatever you got. DO NOT JUMP OFF.

✅Upon landing, try to jump back up as quickly as you can.

✅This teaches your body how to better absorb force & more quickly use those fast twitch muscles.

✅Nope, it’s not a fancy new move or a super cool exercise to show off with..BUT it helps us hold onto those quick reflexes - hence increasing POWER OUTPUT.💪🏽
