So I wasn’t sure of what to do as it was my first time to ever meet her and I hadn’t spoken to her on the phone either.
We didn’t have Uber services in Lagos then so I had to drive myself.
It was a short drive from Lekki Phase 1 to 4 Point at Oniru but my palms were sweaty by the time I parked in the car park.
I came down from the car and wasn’t sure if it was ‘cool’ to wear the jacket or just hang it on my hand.
I decided to hang it and then took the elevator to the 2nd floor.
I knocked on her door and within few minutes she opened it.
Nobs: Good Afternoon,Ma
MIL : Hello, how are you ?
Nobs : I’m fine thank you.
MIL : You must be Noble
Nobs : Yes,Ma.
* I wasn’t sure If she was going to straight tell me to leave her daughter alone and go back to where I was coming from but then*
MIL : Please come in
Nobs : Thank You, Ma.
MIL : Please pull a seat.
Nobs : Okay,Ma.
MIL : Please draw the curtain and sit by the window so I can see your face.
*she sat down on the bed facing the window
Nobs : Okay,Ma.
* The jacket fell to the floor and I wasn’t sure if it was the right time to start picking a jacket *
MIL: Nice to meet you. I’m Justice ************** Chioma has told me a lot of things about you,she suggested you come to see me. So tell me about you.
Nobs : It’s nice to meet you,my lord.
MIL: it’s okay to address me by Ma.
Nobs : Okay,Ma.
My name is Noble Igwe and I’m from Umuomaku in Orumba South local Goverment of Anambra State. I’m the first in a family of 5 and my parents live in Aba.
MIL : Nice. So what do you do ? * See at the point, I didn’t know if it was okay to refer to myself as a blogger or a business man. I didn’t want to say that wrong things.I don’t think any Nigerian parents wants to hear blogger, it wasn’t until Linda bought her house*

Nobs : I run different businesses under a company called the 360group. We have a logistics company called 360delivery, a blog called 360nobs.com, I do events for companies like NB Plc, BAT, HP and I also consult for artistes.
MIL: You work from home or ?
Nobs : No,Ma. We have an office in VI but I live in Lekki phase 1.
MIL: Are a christain ?
