If I could move to Chamonix I would be there tomorrow. Few cities in the world have such a stellar mountain vista just above town. One of the shocking things when you visit Chamonix is just how big the mountains appear. There is over 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) of elevation gain from town to the top of the peaks---and that doesn't even count the mighty Mont Blanc. #alps #chamonix #france
