Tens of thousands of people have fled gang violence in Honduras, many heading north toward the U.S. Our journalists followed a group of young men in San Pedro Sula to tell the story of gang violence through the voices of residents, shopkeepers, families and gang members themselves. The struggle to protect their neighborhood encapsulates the inescapable violence that entraps and expels millions of people across Latin America. Since the turn of this century, more than 2.5 million people have been killed in Latin America and the Caribbean.
