It is the first song that was created out of all the songs on my DAY WON album. For someone to be your “hiding place” it means they are home to you; they are your safe place, your sense of comfort, the arms you run to and can just breathe in and know everything is okay. The lyric in Verse 1 “I’ve never seen colours like yours” is so important to me. Cause what could be more incredible than someone who radiates a vibrancy you’ve never felt before? I personally experienced this so was drawn to writing about it. This song continued to impact me even after the writing portion was done. I had the privilege of working with @GabeGallucci for the first time for this entire album as not only my co-writer, producer, and project partner, but also as my recording and mix engineer. I will never forget hearing this song for the first time after Gabe mixed it. I cried. The song was perfect. I was just so happy, and I still feel those emotions every single listen.
