After my writing team and I wrote “Talk”, I then went to the CNE for the first time. On the walk back to the recording studio, with mini donuts in hand, I was singing the chorus and then it hit me: the chorus needed more bounce (watch the above video to hear me sing the original version compared to what it became). Then, having @kayarthevirgo on this song, too, took it to another level. I LOVE this song. I feel an energy from this song and it was important to me to write this one. This song came from a place within my heart about the value I put on communication. At the time, I had been going through a difficult situation that I realized had a lot to do with miscommunication and how if the subject was just expressed out loud, things would be so much simpler!
