During this Easter time, let's think about a little guy named Benjamin, a Los Angeles Basin brush rabbit. You can’t tell from the first photo, but Benjamin is one lucky bunny after having a dangerous encounter, likely with a cat. While the incident didn’t take his life, it did cost him an eye - an injury making it impossible for him to survive safely in the wild. Thankfully Benjamin made a full recovery and is happy and healthy at his home, @bigbearalpinezoo. To help rabbits like Benjamin, consider keeping your pet cats indoors whenever possible. There's safety advantages for the kitty as well with indoor cats running far less risk of injury or death from road accidents, fighting, and disease.
