Photo by @carltonward // sponsored by @VISITFLORIDA // While playing in the surf after a family photo shoot, a young girl pauses for a quiet moment to look out over the Gulf of Mexico at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park on Florida's southwest coast near Naples. The state park protects a mile of barrier island beaches near the pass where the Cocohatchee River flows into the Gulf. Barefoot Beach County Preserve provides access to explore the other side of the river. I see myself in this picture, staring out over the waves many times in my youth. The Gulf of Mexico is part of me, always calling me back, and I am thankful that state parks like this preserve the natural wonders for residents and visitors alike. // @VISITFLORIDA and explore 175 State Parks, hundreds of freshwater springs, infinite mangrove tunnels, and hidden caverns. Let your adventure begin. #LoveFL
