Cherry blossom night seeing in Yasukuni Shrine, Tokyo. Many came to see even after the closing time. Yet, the beauty of cherry blossom, or Sakura, was often sadly exploited by then Japan’s military government during World War II to romanticize Kamikaze, or suicide attack, and to make the young soldiers carry it out more efficiently.
