Photo by @MartinEdstrom | Home to about 30 monks, the Buddhist temple of Tengboche sits perched atop a small ridge in the Khumbu valley of the Nepalese Himalayas. It was built in 1916 and has since been destroyed both by an earthquake and by a large fire in 1989. Yet they keep rebuilding it - and the temple remains a major point of interest for people trekking to Mt Everest.
