Say “hi” to the Indian Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi)! Named for its taste for flying insects, this bird can be spotted in forests across India, as well as in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Males and females are easy to tell apart: only males have extreme tail feathers, which can be nearly 12 inches (30 centimeters) long. Another difference? Males come in two colors: cinnamon or white, with black heads and piercingly blue eyerings. Females have shorter tails and a mix of cinnamon and gray plumage.
