In this society we live in, we put so much importance in followers, likes, finding love, relationships, status, image. I know that I personally have put so much significance on these things in the past. I've let others dictate a portion of my worth, my happiness, my contentment. Putting value to things that is outside of my control is something that has been very harmful for my emotions and mental health. I'm tired of feeling let down; from my own expectations and myself not feeling like I am enough. No, this isn't the inspirational caption. And I'm not necessarily proud to share this nor did I have to share all of this. But this is me. I just want you all to know that's you're not alone if you're going through something similar. Today, I must say that this is the most I've truly loved myself, the most mentally stable I've felt, the best I've ever been. But it doesn't mean that I don't struggle with myself at times. However in those times of struggle, I'm now able to see things clearer. I don't feel as many negative emotions like I did in the past. And only through those lows am I now able to appreciate life. I'm thankful for the experiences that has taught me how to love myself and shown me my worth. This journey is an interesting one. Even when things aren't great, somehow we still have many lessons to learn and grow from. Ups and downs is necessary for all of us. Don't let the rough times get to you. Feel what you need to feel. I believe that's very important for growth. I encourage you all to keep pursuing your passions. Don't let your situation and others dictate the love you have for yourself. Share your gifts.
