I saw this quote today..."Even when the things you hope for take longer than expected, you are still growing in the way you were meant to. You life has not been wasted." This really hit home for me.
I'm not where I wanted to be or thought I'd be in my life at this point. I wish I had come out sooner, I didn't have so many mental health issues/insecurities, I was more successful in my golf, etc. But when I look back at things that I've gone through, I can see that it was necessary for my growth. No this isn't where I imagined or expected my goals to take me. But I know in my heart that this is where I'm meant to be.
If you're going through hard times, if you're questioning your worth. Just know that there's a reason for all the struggles, setbacks, heartbreaks, pain. Just keep pursuing what you're passionate about...keep doing what gives your life meaning. I believe this will always put you on the right path. Whether your life looks like what you've imagined or not, you're where you're meant to be at this very second. Just keep pushing forward and don't give up. It'll be worth it and you're worth it.

Life is dynamic and we make choices and decisions that seem like, for better or worse, the best option at the time. Often, that takes us onto unforeseen paths...some we explore longer than we should.
