The two-time Oscar-winning actress Glenda Jackson spent the past 2 decades as a member of Parliament. After 23 years away, the 82-year-old has returned to acting, now starring in Shakespeare’s “King Lear” on #Broadway. “Shakespeare writes about humans, and humans don’t change,” Glenda said. Lear remains the crowning role for each generation’s most powerful actors. “Glenda is going to do something very intense, very special, very big,” said Sam Gold, the director of the play. “She is going to go through something most people don’t go through.
